Joining an organisation by invitation

If someone has added you to an organisation that already exists, you do not go through the setup wizard and you do not wait for approval. You accept a link and you are in.

Accepting an invitation#

  1. Open the link in the email

    The invitation page is public, so it opens whether or not you are signed in.

  2. Sign in or create an account if you have not already

    Use the address the invitation was sent to. The invitation is bound to that address and cannot be accepted by a different account.

  3. Press Accept invitation

    You join the organisation immediately and are taken into the product.

What happens after you accept#

You join with whatever role the person inviting you chose. Invited members are never subject to the platform approval queue, because that applies only to people creating a brand new workspace. See Why a new workspace starts pending for why that distinction exists.

Sending invitations#

Once someone has joined, they appear in the Members list at your organisation's settings, with their role and a filter for finding people in a large roster.
